What is DNA? What is DNA fingerprinting? What are some issues with DNA evidence, why might we want to spoof it and how?
In this workshop Heather shows all the do’s and dont’s of working with DNA: you will learn how to extract DNA and how to make your own invisiblity spray, to make yourself DNA-invisible.
We’ll also discuss the current status of laws and upcoming legislation regarding DNA privacy.
Heather Dewey-Hagborg is a renowned information artist and bio-hacker, living in Chicago, teaching art and technology studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. As an educator her areas of interest include art and technology, multimedia, digital photography, research-based art and programming and computer science.
